Three questions to …

… the management at the
baumann group

The brief interviews below now try and bring you closer to those who run the baumann group.
Who are Michael Assner, Matthias René Berens and Sabine Brockschnieder?
What motivates them and what is their goal?

Profile:

Matthias René Berens

Matthias René Berens has been the director in charge of sales and marketing since January 2016.
Passionate about cooking and a barbecue pro, the 45-year-old lives with his wife and three children in Rödinghausen.

What excites you about the kitchen and bathroom industry?

Originally, I hail from IT. At uni, I soon came to realise binary numbers were not about to do it for me for much longer (laughs). It's different selling kitchens and bathrooms. We work with people every day. An old saying sums it up perfectly well: business is always a handshake thing. Every kitchen and bathroom from us is bespoke – never off the peg. It doesn't get better than that?

What makes the baumann group so different?

The human element, honesty and team spirit. Practising unprecedented team spirit, we as colleagues derive immense pleasure to team up and design the home's loveliest of spaces: the kitchen. The owner-led structure lays the path for a shallow hierarchy, taking every red tape out of making decisions quickly and easily. And with all partners and suppliers too, we work eye to eye and on a level playing field. That's the credo we have as our #kitchenfamily!

Where do you see the company in ten years from now?

I'd still like to see the baumann group among the top 5 furniture manufacturers in ten years' time. Yet we also want to remain a safe haven for creative staff who are looking to let their imagination run free without any measure of constraint.

Profile:

Michael Assner

Michael Assner has been Managing Director of Purchasing, Production and IT since July 2012.
Born in Bünde, he lives with his wife in Bad Oeynhausen and enjoys spending his leisure time
at the theatre or on the golf course.

What excites you about the kitchen and bathroom industry?

Wherever you live, it's the kitchen and bathrooms that makes everywhere a real home. Whereas the kitchen is the hub of communication and getting together, the bathroom is a haven of well-being and a place to find a retreat. Creating products like ours to enrich people's lives give me so much pleasure.

What makes the baumann group so different?

Customers appreciate the flexibility and reliability the baumann group can give them. This has yielded many a successful partnership, some of which have lasted for decades. This trusting relationship comes from your staff and the unique corporate culture built on the basis of respect and fairness. This is something your customers feel too!

Where do you see the company in ten years from now?

Our aim is to carry on being a reliable provider for our customers, one who will continue to delight and inspire them with safe jobs, commitment and fantastic products.

Sabine Brockschnieder

Sabine Brockschnieder has been working as Managing Director in Finance, HR and Legal Affairs since January 2017.
She was born in Rheda-Wiedenbrück and lives in Bielefeld. She loves relaxing on Mallorca, the island of her dreams.

What excites you about the kitchen and bathroom industry?

It was always my wish to work in a creative environment – and designing kitchens and bathrooms is exactly the right place to do that. At our forge, you can wear any hat you choose and get on with whatever you want. Time and again, seeing happy people in their kitchens shows us why we are getting it right.

What makes the baumann group so different?

Surrounded by wonderful team spirit, people are more or less left to make their own decisions! We practise a corporate culture that places a focus on each and every individual. Combined with outstanding design, exceptional planning solutions create a very special environment in which to work.

Where do you see the company in ten years from now?

Ten years from now too, we want to see ourselves as a top employer magnet! As a family-run company, we must live up to our particular responsibility to guard society in the future too.
